Capricorn Rising Stars – Tom Rutzou
Australasia’s largest automotive cooperative, Capricorn, recently announced the top 5 Capricorn Rising Stars Apprentice of the Year competition finalists.
Capricorn Rising Stars (2021) is an initiative to help Capricorn Members recognise, reward and retain their high-performing apprentices. These are apprentices who show initiative in the workshop, eagerness to learn and commitment to the auto industry. By recognising the contribution of automotive apprentices and the bright careers they have ahead of them, Capricorn hopes to help its Members continue to attract the best talent and keep more qualified auto repairers working in the industry.
A record-breaking 600 plus Capricorn Members from across Australia and New Zealand nominated their star apprentices for this prized annual accolade that rewards and recognises the automotive aftermarket industry’s leaders of the future.
Our own Rising Star, Tom Rutzou, was awarded 2nd place overall across Australia, and has won some great prizes from both Castrol and Repco.
Tom is a valued member of our small, specialised workshop, and we are thrilled that he has been recognised for this achievement as a Capricorn Rising Star for 2021. Well done to Tom, and our senior technicians who are fantastic mentors.
