LOG BOOK SERVICING

Our Log Book servicing is performed in accordance with your vehicle manufacturers specifications. Our Technicians are fully qualified, thus protecting your manufacturer warranty. Servicing older vehicles is completed on an ‘as required’ basis and we only proceed with your approval on any repairs or part costs, to avoid bill shock.

PARTS

Finding quality parts for your Classic vehicle is difficult. With over forty years in the industry, we have built an extensive network of suppliers. Located close to one of the largest new and used Jaguar and Land Rover parts providers we are able to minimise waiting times and delivery fees. Successfully locating parts whilst ensuring choice, convenience and savings.

VEHICLE RESTORATION

Is your classic vehicle in need of some love or yearning to get back on the road but without the huge cost of a full restoration? We have performed numerous mechanical restorations to achieve reliability and roadworthy safety standards. Detailing and paint restoration services are also available, achieving remarkable results for a fraction of the cost of re-painting.

A-GRADE SERVICE CENTRE

We are very proud to be a Certified VACC A Grade Automotive Service Centre. The A Grade network is an exclusive membership of automotive businesses throughout Victoria who are committed to being the best. Meaning, we have to abide by a strict set of quality guidelines relating to all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repairs with annual audits by the VACC.

OUR HISTORY

From its humble beginnings in 1968, Graham Ratcliff  embarked on his journey of building his business to what it has become today. Graham’s purchase and subsequent love affair with Jaguars in the mid ’70’s led to a change in the business and gradual shift into specialising in Jaguar service and repairs. His commitment to quality workmanship and good old fashioned service saw the business grow and establish itself as a Jaguar specialist, attracting customers from Greater Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate.

In 2002 Graham Ratcliff retired his legacy over to Herb Schobben (one of the founders of Jag Prestige Spares), whilst retaining fantastic existing master technicians and expanding the team with young, innovative technicians with diesel and cutting-edge diagnostic qualifications. In the last decade, the workshop has expanded into other British marques and significant investment in business presentation, staff training, tools and equipment, diagnostic and information technologies and best practices.

Test Drive

It’s often beneficial to test drive your vehicle with our technician to point out the noise, vibration or feeling that might be bothering you. In any case we still test drive the vehicle to confirm the condition you’ve described.

Vehicle Inspections

We feel it’s important to understand the complete picture before we give you our expert opinion. That’s why we inspect your vehicle every time it comes in for service. This allows us to catch small problems before they become big expensive repairs.

Roadworthy testing

In Victoria a certificate of roadworthiness is required when a vehicle is sold. The owner of the vehicle must provide a current roadworthy certificate to the buyer. Roadworthy inspections check the vehicle to ensure the key components aren’t worn or deteriorated and that the vehicle is safe to use.

We don’t do repairs without your approval

We want to make sure you thoroughly understand what is being repaired, how much it will cost and the time it will take. We want you to be comfortable with what we’re going to do. Once we get your approval we’ll start work on the repairs.

Repair estimates

Where necessary we provide estimates that are organised and priced in order of priority. • The problem you wanted diagnosed • Safety or systems integrity issues • Recommended preventative maintenance services

Double checking our work

When the repairs or maintenance is completed the work is rechecked and the vehicle taken for another test drive to ensure everything is running smoothly.

Courtesy call

We’ll often call you a couple of days after repairs have been completed to ensure everything is going smoothly. We want to make sure you are completely satisfied with our customer service and vehicle repairs.
